Construction works have commenced on our new office and plant maintenance hub in Avonmouth. As well as state of the art offices for management and administration, the site will effectively form the headquarters of our Gorrel Equipment subsidiary, servicing and supporting their extensive plant rental fleet and engineers that operates across the UK. In addition, the facilities will be shared with Walters Group, acting as the springboard for our Civil Engineering, Plant and Development projects in the South West and across the UK.

Once the site is fully operational, we”ll be able to store, service and maintain our own plant, self-drive and contract vehicles in a self-contained, high tech environment. The move should save some considerable transport time to our existing hub in South Wales, which means we”ll be able to react even faster to client and project demands, moving kit and equipment to where it”s most needed.

We also intend the new centre to form a base for our maintenance teams throughout the country, it will be a place they can centrally contact to source parts refreshment, specialist tool requirements, technical support and of course appropriate oils, lubrication, etc. It also logically follows that we will stock and supply machine tyres here for ongoing distribution to fitting teams and contractors throughout the UK.

Logistically the site adjoins the M5 and is only a few junctions from the M4, perfect for reaching all around the UK with minimal disruption and maximum efficiency. The site is also due to benefit from the new junction soon to be constructed on the M49.
