As we entered 2017, Walters Group Turnover surged past the £120m mark and Nick Richards Managing Director of our Civil Engineering division decided to call time on a fulfilling career and step down from his pivotal role within the company”s growth.

Taking the news as a cue for change and progress, we appointed the former director of Major Projects, Colin Chambers to the role of Managing Director, in recognition of the growing role of the division within both the structure and revenue generation of the company.

To further strengthen the management structure and add stability, experience and a steady hand on the tiller, we appointed four further divisional directors, who have consistently delivered for us over their long employment history with the group.

These are:-

• Nick Rolfe as Contracts Director
• Jim Webb as Contracts Director
• John Griffiths as Commercial Director

All will work with the existing directorial team of Colin, Kevin and Tim to further strengthen an already experienced senior management unit and capitalise on the job Nick Richards did for the company

The new roles are a reflection of the trust and good faith we put into all our employees, managers and directors. It”s demonstrably repaid by the bucketful with loyalty, innovation and best practice, delivered safely, economically and on-time. The very fact that ALL the senior roles were filled from within group is something we’re very proud of.
