Walters have been appointed (by the Legal & General Industrial Property Investment Fund) to demolish the former NMC Factory in the centre of Brynmawr, which has lain disused and vandalised for approximately 8 years. This blot on the Brynmawr landscape is set to be redeveloped to accommodate modern new industrial units, breathing new life into the town.

Prior to demolition commencing, Walters will engage the services of an HSE Licensed supply chain partner, to remove and dispose of all licensed asbestos containing materials under fully controlled conditions. The buildings will then be soft-stripped of all internal fixtures and fittings, before being systematically demolished in a controlled manner by Walters highly skilled demolition operatives.

Walters will use company-owned plant and equipment to complete the works.

Concrete and masonry from the super-structure will be processed and crushed by Walters own mobile crushing plant and stockpiled on site for re-use in the follow-on redevelopment works
