• Working closely with estimating and construction teams.
• Producing resourced Gantt Chart programme of earthworks operations linked to project milestones and/or key dates.
• Producing earthworks mass haul.
• Producing Time Chainage (experience with Tilos)
• Time Zone Programme representations of Gantt chart programme for communication purposes as required.
• Producing resource loaded programmes.
• Producing Programme Method Statement.
• Proficient in updating Programmes, producing Progress Reports and back up data
• Impacting programmes to show the consequences of delay
• Putting forward changes and/or Value Engineering options, particularly with programme benefits.
• Appropriate input to prequalification questionnaires and tender quality statements.
• Use of Planning Software – P6 Primavera is a must have!
• Attending regular client meetings and presenting as and when required.
• Developing baseline programs, monitoring and updating progress, progress reporting and reviewing programs existence.
• Creating master plan and implementing programs which incorporate the planning requirements of the contract.
• Being the conscience of the project on all schedule issues.
• Regular site walking to establish site progress and compliance with health and safety systems.
• Creating and monitoring of KPIs and production of weekly/monthly dashboards and reports.
• Issuing KPI and producing output data to the Mace planning database.
• Preparing of time impact analysis reports to support extension of time documentation.

The ideal candidate is expected to have operational delivery experience, who has moved into project planning.  Ideally having worked on various regional and major construction projects involving large earthworks either for a Tier 1 contractor or specialist earthworks provider.  Preferably having also provided early contractor involvement and/or bid managed tenders for major projects. You will be a driven, enthusiastic individual with excellent communication/presentation skills.

• Previous experience to both the tender and contract stages of projects are essential.
• Main contracting background is preferred.
• A working knowledge of different forms of contracts.
• Understanding of construction methodology, building technology, preconstruction processes and procurement methods.
• Good team player and can also work individually.
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
• Ability to be flexible as situation requires.
• Experience of integration of multiple schedules into the master schedule.
• Proficiency with main planning software packages such as Primavera and Asta Power.
• Advanced knowledge in Excel is an advantage.
