Operation:
- A basic to excellent understanding of setting out fundamentals from first principles, and preferably able to process and understand 3D models, and conversant with GPS equipment
- Assisting in daily planning and contributing to site management and processes
- Completing daily/weekly surveys of any work being carried out where necessary
- Contributing to site diaries and record keeping
- Problem solving on site and helping site supervisors come up with solutions based on engineering understanding and experience
- Ensuring works are carried out to specification and compliant with Quality standards which would stand up to audit
- Upholding a high standard of Health & Safety and effectively contributing to success in this area with the rest of your team
- An understanding of commercial awareness, efficiency and productivity.
- Providing a crucial link between the field and the office
- A construction or civil engineering degree or HNC/HND, or working towards it
- Good organisation skills
- Preferably previous experience with engineering or surveying using GPS and total stations.
- Preferably enough knowledge in LSS to process data, create accurate composites and report volumes, and interpret surveys
- Previous experience with machine control is preferable
- Excellent communication skills
- Preferably SMSTS or SSSTS, or iOSH equivalent training

- An interest in modern engineering and construction techniques, sustainable initiatives and carbon reduction
- Keen problem solvers with engineering solutions and resilience to see tasks through
- Understanding working methods and forward planning, with some programming ability
- Confident, capable, self-starting team player, displaying autonomy once comfortable with working environment and scope
