We are pleased to announce that our Mountain Ash Cross Valley Link scheme has been Highly Commended in the ‘Geotechnical Value £1-3M’ category at the Ground Engineering Awards 2020. It is great recognition for the project and the many challenges that the Joint Venture team has had to overcome.

The Ground Engineering Awards is viewed as a true testament to our industry especially in these challenging and unprecedented times and celebrates the inspiring people behind the award-winning projects and initiatives over the past year.

The MACVL project was highlighted by the judges as:  “a challenging site and topography which required a combination of numerous geotechnical techniques to be used and achieved good value, a combination of everything that was impressive”. The Judges thought that this was a well presented and very well written submission by our designers, Ramboll UK.

The judges’ recognition of the geotechnical challenges of the project as a whole, has ensured everyone involved in the delivery of the scheme are very proud of receiving this Commendation.
