Mountain Ash Cross Valley Link Multi Million Pound Scheme nearing completion Summer 2020
This is the tab body content. It is typically best to keep this area short and to the point so it isn't too overwhelming.

The multi-million-pound Cross Valley Link Scheme is due for completion by late summer 2020, and will see a new road link built from Cwm Cynon Industrial Estate to Miskin Road, over the River Cynon and Aberdare-Cardiff railway line.

The Walters-Sisk Joint Venture were awarded the Design & Construct form of contract in 2017 and the project is a long term-aspiration for Rhondda Cynon Taf Council and local residents.

As well as improving traffic movements around and through Mountain Ash, the scheme will bring further benefit for thousands of road users every day, especially during peak travel times.

The completed scheme includes a 60-metre twin span bridge, which will link traffic on the A4059, the arterial route through the Cynon Valley, and the B4275 on the opposite side of the river.

The project is being funded through #RCTinvest Programme, and has also received significant support from the Welsh Government through a number of grants.
