This is the tab body content. It is typically best to keep this area short and to the point so it isn't too overwhelming.

Walters have been appointed to undertake remedial drainage works to the former Bedwas Colliery restoration site. The £275,000 project was awarded by Caerphilly County Borough Council following an unrestricted tender procedure.

The site, which overlook both the Rhymney and Sirhowy valleys, was formerly home to the Bedwas Navigation Colliery that ceased operation in 1985.

Walters will be undertaking works to repair the drainage channels that control and direct surface water run-off from the former tip area on Mynydd Y Grug to the River Rhymney. In total over 1km of concrete lined channel will be repaired as part of the project with works expected to start on site in early March 2017.
