We are pleased to announce that the Walters training and development scheme has been officially recognised by the Institution of Civil Engineers. Walters, as an approved ICE employer, can offer graduates a route to achieving professional qualifications with the ICE, via our employer- led training
The scheme supports graduates who wish to obtain the necessary skills, knowledge and experience they need to become professionally qualified. Our Senior Planning Manager, Phil Whitney, is an ICE approved Supervising Civil Engineer for the scheme meaning he can assess the trainees” progression against the attributes required to be an Incorporated or Chartered Civil Engineer. Phil provides total support through the professional review process. The SCE plays a vital role, providing assistance and guidance throughout the programme.

In the past year Walters, with Phil”s guidance, has helped one engineer successfully pass their professional review at IEng level, another has completed their design secondment and we have a further three trainees currently in training.
