Walters win CECA Wales Award
This is the tab body content. It is typically best to keep this area short and to the point so it isn't too overwhelming.

We were delighted that at the 2022 CECA Wales Annual Dinner & Awards Ceremony that Sonny Dolan, Walters Senior Engineer, won the prestigious award for Most Promising Trainee Civil Engineer (non-Graduate), an excellent achievement and well-deserved recognition for the commitment shown by Sonny during his time with us at Walters.

Sonny joined Walters in 2021, driven by his enthusiasm to take forward his career. He commenced his HND later that year and has successfully completed his first year. Furthermore, he has enrolled on Walters’ Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) training agreement with the ambition to pursue his Chartership. Sonny’s initial responsibilities within Walters were to set out and topographically survey the works on live projects, which he successfully achieved with efficiency whilst demonstrating a high level of competence and communication skills.

His natural ability to lead teams and be the first to hold up his hand when every challenge presented itself, quickly elevated Sonny into a junior management role, where he has already delivered two complex projects for Natural Resources Wales (NRW).

Carl Jones, Walters Contracts Manager and who nominated Sonny for the award said " It is a pleasure working with him and he is a credit to himself and the construction industry - Walters are very fortunate to have him."

We also wish to say a big well done to Harvey Jones (Trainee Quantity Surveyor Award) and Luke Pearson (Trainee Civil Engineer Award – Graduate) for their nominations for the Awards and although unsuccessful this time in taking the award we are delighted as a company to see so many of our new Trainees being nominated in such a prestigious awards ceremony.
