Walters win infrastructure contract for Coed Ely business park development
This is the tab body content. It is typically best to keep this area short and to the point so it isn't too overwhelming.

Walters have  commenced the infrastructure contract including key roads and services for a significant business park development at Coed Ely, in Tonyrefail which is being funded by an investment of £3.6 million from Welsh Government.

The aim of the development, which covers 75 acres, is to help facilitate development in the area and to bring jobs to the site, with a number of interested parties having already expressed an interest in space for larger industrial units in the area.

Economy Minister Ken Skates said:

“Located within the Valleys Task Force area, this substantial site for sought-after business units will help secure lasting economic change for a region with rich potential.

Through collaboration with Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council it will create employment opportunities in communities targeted through the “Our Valleys, Our Future” action plan, and contribute to the goal of the Well being of Future Generations Act, improving the economic, social, environmental and cultural well-being of Wales through sustainable development.”

Nick Rolfe, Contracts Director for Walters commented:

“I am delighted that Walters have been appointed by Welsh Government as Principal Contractor to deliver this key development which will significantly support economic growth in the Rhondda Cynon Taf region.”

Work is programmed to be completed in Summer 2020.
