Project Outline

The UK imports and exports a bewildering variety of products, much of it requiring bulk handling and loading/unloading at portside. Aggregates, Coal, Animal feeds, Recycling and Waste are all amongst the cargo Gorrel supplied plant routinely handles. Gigantic ports such as Tilbury require everything from telehanders for scrap metal, to loading shovels and tracked excavators for aggregates, coal etc.

Project Delivery

We provide Plant hire services to a number of the UK”s leading ports.. Hiring kit by the week or month is the perfect way to cope with a constantly changing demand for plant. Longer-term Contract Hire allows us to specify the plant to suit operational needs even more exactly. We can supply whatever the situation dictates, modifying existing hired plant with appropriate attachments or replacing it outright.  Cargo”s change, hiring allows for the fast-moving needs and loads of a dynamic economy.

Safety compliance and operator comfort

We ensure that the plant requirement, fully complies with the relevant health and safety regulations required at portside. As we constantly refresh and renew our fleet, we ensure maximum efficiency, operator comfort and safety in our plant. All round vision, camera assist, ergonomic seating and air filtration/conditioning come as standard, along with appropriate safety lighting and vehicle graphics.

Factory trained maintenance team

Our nationwide team of factory trained technicians, equipped with mobile workshops, who can carry out routine maintenance at the port. For all new plant deliveries, we have the luxury of our own heavy haulage service.
