Our partnership with Tarmac started back in 1992 and involves a comprehensive, long-term, managed asset rental service, which includes dedicated onsite maintenance teams that are fully integrated into the clients” site management teams.

The applications we operate are diverse, from Limestone, blast furnace and steel slag in the South to gritstone, sand and gravel in the midlands.

Whether hauling 1 million tonnes of limestone or gritstone, to 750.000 tonnes of sand and gravel a year, each operation has its own challenges. We fully explore these with our partner ensuring the correct selection of mobile plant is made and that it’s fully utilised.

The partnership also includes the provision of auxiliary plant such as telehandlers, mobile fuel bowsers etc. and includes specialist items such as micro / mini diggers and skidsteer loaders.

The challenges we encounter at each location can range from operating 24/7 in a steel works to the high wear rates when loading and hauling high psv gritstone. But, with our partners we overcome the challenges with workable solutions.

As a partnership we are always reviewing our performance so we can deliver continuous improvement, whether that is through fuel / driver efficiency, predictive maintenance schemes, tyre wear / performance. Every small change we can make leads to a bigger improvement in the overall operation, bringing added value and benefit to both parties.
