PROJECT OUTLINE

A section of the “Football Factory” industrial unit in Avondale Industrial Estate, Cwmbran was left in an unsafe state after fire spread quickly through office, bar and gym areas, leaving the front section of the building in need of urgent demolition.

Hansteen Property Investments Limited immediately contacted Walters for specialist advice and guidance to solve their problem.

PROJECT DELIVERY

Walters prepared method statements and risk assessments on the fire damaged Football Factory at short notice and liaised with utility service providers and the HSE to facilitate a swift mobilisation to site.

Due to the fire damaged state of the structure, no personnel could safely enter the building to remove asbestos containing materials or other hazardous materials prior to mechanical demolition, making this a challenging project requiring expert planning and execution.
